| Poetry:: where moonlight surrounds |
Author: LaBelleRouge
the world to you I offered
not one to be sought
a world of sorrow and pain
where dreams wither and die
where love is distained
and even the angels cry
but the truth in my soul
too precious to be bought
with less than love like you give
words of gold and lips of fire
with hope and wild desire
you kissed me and willed me to live
a vast universe of joy
beneath our feet will spread
when all of the fear
and the sorrow lay dead
in your arms I forget the pain
darkness we lose, love’s light we gain
where moonlight surrounds
time like eternity seems
and sweet be the sounds
of lovers lost in their dreams
let me live and die where you are
let my eyes drink a sky of stars
